About Bobby Lardner
I’m a Dublin-based interior designer specialising in downsizing, futureproofing, and mid-life home design.
I work with homeowners navigating change — helping them create homes that feel calm, functional, and thoughtfully designed for the way they live now, and the years ahead.
Experience & Background
With over 20 years of experience in interior design, my background spans residential and commercial interiors, including showhouses, private homes, restaurants, and corporate spaces.
My earlier studies in Art History, dressmaking and tailoring, and fashion retail continue to influence my work through a strong understanding of proportion, texture, colour, and detail.
My work has been featured in The White Book, Irish Interiors Magazine, and Showhouse Challenge on RTÉ.
Why this work matters to me
Supporting family members through downsizing, relocation, and futureproofing projects gave me firsthand insight into how emotional and overwhelming these transitions can feel.
It reinforced the importance of creating homes that are not only beautiful, but practical, adaptable, and genuinely supportive of everyday life.
My approach
I believe good design should make life feel easier.
My work combines thoughtful spatial planning, timeless aesthetics, and future-ready thinking to create homes that feel balanced, comfortable, and easy to live in — without unnecessary complexity.
Every project is approached with clarity, structure, and careful attention to how a home should function both now and over time.
