This guest bedroom was reconfigured to improve functionality and optimise usable space.

An infrequently used double bed previously dominated the narrow room, limiting its functionality and forcing the client to work and pursue hobbies elsewhere in the home.

A bespoke wall bed solution was introduced, with an integrated desk, shelving and storage alongside. By taking advantage of a subtle recess in the wall line, the design was carefully planned to minimise visual impact while optimising layout efficiency.

Durable, toning finishes — including a satin painted finish on the wall bed housing, and textured pale wood veneer in the desk area — create a cohesive and contemporary aesthetic. Integrated led lighting enhances the workspace, now supporting remote working and sewing activities.

The room now functions seamlessly as a home office, creative space and yoga area, and can be easily transformed into a comfortable guest bedroom when required.
